Vinay Sanghi is the founder and the driving force of CarTrade Tech since its inception in 2009. He has been instrumental in building the vision of the Company and taking it from a start-up to a leading automotive marketplace. With more than three decades in the ecosystem, Vinay has established a standard of excellence in the auto industry. Previously, he was employed with Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd.
Currently also serving as an Independent Director of HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company Ltd.
Aneesha Menon
Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer
She joined CarWale in 2015. She has been instrumental in taking the Company Public. Had a 9 year stint with S.R.Batliboi & Co. LLP (Ernst & Young) as a Statutory auditor and has over 15 years of experience in the field of Finance.
Varun Sanghi
Chief Strategy Officer – Group
Varun Sanghi has been associated with CarTrade Tech Limited for over ten years and has played a pivotal role in the Company’s growth and strategic initiatives.
He joined the organization as a Product Manager and was instrumental in conceptualizing and launching the Auto Finance product, which continues to be an integral part of the Company’s offerings. Over the years, Varun has contributed significantly across multiple areas, including corporate finance, business development, and strategic investments. He was one of the key members involved in the acquisition of OLX India in 2023 and has since led the post-integration initiatives, driving strategy, synergies and revenue growth across the combined businesses.
Varun serves as a Director on the boards of Sobek Auto India Private Limited (OLX India), Shriram Automall India Limited and CarTrade Foundation.
Varun has also been recognized externally for his achievements, featuring in Forbes India’s “30 Under 30” list and Business World’s “40 Under 40 – Auto Industry Leaders”, reflecting his growing industry stature and strategic acumen.
Akshay Shankar
Chief Product Officer – Group
Akshay Shankar is the Chief Product Officer – Group. He holds a master’s degree in science (with honours) from University of Twente, Netherlands. He has 15+ years of experience in product management. Akshay Shankar started his career at ABN AMRO Central Enterprise Services Private Limited. He was one of the first directors of Nassau IT Services Private Limited, erstwhile owner of the CarTradeIndia.com portal, in 2007. He joined our Company on August 1, 2009 as a product manager and has held technology and product leadership roles since then. Akshay was promoted to the position of Chief Product Officer – Group (CPO) on October 1, 2020.
